Jeremiah Johnson (the film)
Sydney Pollack's Jeremiah Johnson is an allegory of the story of life
"Jeremiah Johnson made his way into the mountains
"Bettin' on forgettin' all the troubles that he knew...."
Sydney Pollack's Jeremiah Johnson is an allegory of the story of life. It was beautifully shot, has a great cast and will move you to tears and laughter.
Long before Dances With Wolves, Pollack made Jeremiah Johnson about mountain men in the Rockies and their interaction with the territory and the natives. It's hard to imagine a film of this nature seeming more authentic.
